Course Outline
This session is designed to assist schools who have previously participated in the Refugee Education Support Program (RESP) to sustain their ability to support students of refugee background by ensuring that new staff are inducted into the Foundation House whole-school approach.
The module covers:
- Common elements of the refugee experience
- The role of schools in supporting trauma recovery
- Strategies to support students of refugee background

- Positive Climate for Learning.
- Excellence in Teaching and Learning
Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
1 – Know students and how they learn
3 – Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
